Working on a site that is asp.net and need to 301 a page.

I tried

Response.AddHeader("Location","http://www.example.com/new-page.asp");

but no luck with it so far,

my page is www.domain.com/existing-page.html

needs to go to www.domain.com/new-page.html

Your source page needs to be have an asp extension for that code to work doesn't it? As I understand it you'll need to set up the redirect from an htm(l) page from IIS. Maybe you can try your hosting company?
