Picked this up at the beginning of the week for other sites, there's a large difference in (reported) indexed pages in Google in different countries, but to give an example;

site:seo-guy.com


Google US : 4,400 pages indexed
Google UK : 80,400 pages indexed

It's been like this all week so I'm ruling out a googledance datacenter update. I'm sure Google are up to something.

It's the site: command that was out of wack for me... it would decrease all day long till it hit about 10% of the actual page amount. If you look, the pages that are not listed in the site: list will still be ranking in the serps.

I am still facing same problem that my one site is showing 445000 on Google.co.in & on Google.com its showing 49100 pages only.

Can you please help me out why there is so major difference in the pages results.

Hi Nitin,

I haven't looked at your site, but as Joc suggests, it looks like it's only a problem with the site: operator reporting and that your site's pages will still rank even if they are not reported as being listed in Google In.
